David Mc Cord

A resident of Elora, Davud is a talented metal designer working in a traditional black smith methods. He puts much thought and effort into everything he creates. His work is strong, masculine, yet curvaceous and sensitive. He has created original designs for gates, fences, trellises, birdbaths, railings, beds, candleholders, fireplace tool sets, planters and so many things I can’t begin to mention. We call David “our in house artist” because he’s been with us since 1993 and drops in to take orders every other day. David’s work can be seen on the front of our building and on many other buildings in Elora.

Gundi Vivani

Gundi was one of the very first artisans I had contacted when opening in early 1993.
Her work was spectacular then and has developed even more over the years. Gundi’s sculpture is found in homes all over the world mostly near the sea over looking water. Gundi originally started in the art of textile. It was witnessing the demolition of the Berlin wall that inspired Gundi to build sculpture by stacking cut glass.

John Koletic

John balances the beauty of wood with the strength of steel. Much of the wood John uses has been buried in the ground for thousands of years. Exotic woods like Jarra and Bibinga are a beautiful deep orangish red in colour and compliment the dark wood finishes of today. John has a good range of tables, mirrors, candle holders, clocks and frames on display at the Karger Gallery at all times. Some of the newest items are large dinning room tables and wall tiles in the exotic woods John searches out.

"I am a sculptor. I heat and hand forge metal until it gives form to expressions of human energy as it engages and relates. When heated, metal is extremely forgiving, that's why I choose
it as a medium. Through it, I explore the forces that draw us together and that separate us from ourselves and each other. Having experienced both great tragedy and .....
